Udinese sporting director Cristiano Giaretta says a solution will be found to enable Fiorentina to sign Juan Cuadrado outright.

The Colombian winger enjoyed an excellent season for the Viola, helping Vincenzo Montella’s team finish fourth in Serie A and reach the Coppa Italia final.

He currently remains co-owned by both the Florence side and Giaretta’s Bianconeri but, speaking to Lady Radio, the official said an agreement will be reached to allow Fiorentina to buy his club’s half of the player.

“We’re all working so that Fiorentina can sign Cuadrado,” he said. “The two owners are in discussions and a solution will be found.”

Giaretta also confirmed that Udinese striker Luis Muriel will be remaining in Friuli-Venezia-Giulia next season and passed comment on the club’s new Coach, Andrea Stramaccioni.

“Muriel? I can end all the talk, he will be an Udinese player next season. He was disappointed not to be called up by his national team.

“Stramaccioni? We’re changing completely, we’re turning the page after the Guidolin era. Stramaccioni wants to coach Udinese and that is very pleasing.”
