The Croatian is surplus to requirements with the Bianconeri, with a number of clubs around Italy and Europe thought to be interested in his services.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Viola are at the front of the queue and have made Pjaca their prime summer target.

The Italian daily states that the two clubs are working on a deal that would see the 23-year-old move to Florence on an initial loan deal, with Fiorentina having the option to sign him permanently next summer.

Talks between the clubs are set to continue over the next week, although an agreement still appears to be some way off.

Juve reportedly want the Viola to pay a loan fee of €7m, but the Artemio Franchi club have only offered €2.5m thus far.

Having joined from Dinamo Zagreb in 2016, Pjaca has found life difficult at Juve.

After showing initial promise, he suffered a long-term knee ligament injury last year.

He then spent the second half of last season on loan at German side Schalke, having slipped a long way down Max Allegri’s pecking order.
