“We’ve been believing in miracles since July, then lost a few prayers along the way. Now we hope this pilgrimage to San Siro can bring results,” the patron told Mediaset Premium.

Le Streghe have three Serie A wins to their name, including last week’s 3-2 thriller with Crotone, but are yet to manage a single away point.

Vigorito added a lot of experience in the January transfer window, including ex-Tottenham midfielder Sandro and former Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna.

“Sandro, Sagna and others we brought in have a glorious past and I hope they’ll be champions in future too. Sagna alone covers 80 per cent of Benevento’s Champions League appearances.”
