Nice Coach Patrick Vieira says there’s no problem with Mario Balotelli – “if I have to explain things 100 times, I’ll do it”.

“Mario likes to score and right now he isn’t scoring,” Vieira shrugged, speaking to L’Équipe.

“I have a lot of time for the players and if I have to explain things to them 100 times, I’ll do it.

“I have to think about how to get the most out of these two players [Balotelli and Allan Saint-Maximin].

“They are not a problem, a lack of support and being isolated means they can’t express themselves fully.

“It's up to me to help the collective to get the best of Mario and Allan. It’s my responsibility to ensure they can play with the rest of the team.

“We need to find a solution with the position of the midfielders, and even those coming up from the back with Christophe [Jallet], Malang [Sarr] and even Dante.

“It's with this kind of detail that Mario and Allan will be more dangerous.

“It [the outburst after being subbed] is part of a Coach’s life. There are players who understand and others who don’t. Some are accepting of it, others less so.

“It doesn’t matter to me if they react in a certain way, I just expect them to have respect for the club, for the group, and for myself, in relation to the decisions I make.”
