Inter vice president Javier Zanetti ‘feels cam’ about Argentina and sees a happy Leo Messi: ‘This is crucial.’

Zanetti is in Doha, where he will attend the World Cup draw today.

“I am calm about Argentina, we play well. The group is solid and united. That’s why I am calm,” he told TYC Sports before a match involving FIFA legends on Thursday. The former defender was also joined by ex-Inter striker Diego Forlan during the interview.

Argentina are in Pot 1, which means they could face their rivals Germany during the group stage as they are in pot 2.

“Germany always go all the way through, I don’t know how they do, but they always make it,” said Zanetti.

“Let’s see what the draw has in store for us. We have confidence. Leo [Messi] is very happy and I think it’s crucial, same as El Fideo [Angel Di Maria]. But the whole group has confidence. Winning Copa America was fundamental. Now we wait for the World Cup.”
