Fiorentina defender Yerry Mina brought some old-school defending techniques to the Coppa Italia by pinching Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee somewhere very delicate.
The veteran Colombia international came off the bench during extra time in this evening’s goalless quarter-final at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
He decided to immediately make his presence known to Zirkzee in an unorthodox manner, by squeezing the Dutch forward’s nipple within the first minute on the pitch.
Zirkzee was understandably furious, but it was not enough to warrant a VAR intervention for serious foul play.
Mina went on to convert a penalty in the shoot-out, which gave Fiorentina a place in the semi-final against either Milan or Atalanta.
