A video of Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has gone viral after the Merengues’ 4-0 win over Barcelona on Wednesday, with his players exploding in joy after knowing they would have a day off.
The La Liga giants secured a historic win over their harshest rivals midweek and Ancelotti was full of joy after the final whistle.
Part of his dressing room speech has been released online and showed the Italian tactician praising his players, telling them they would be rewarded with a day off.
“It’s a source of pride to see games like this, sit on the bench and see games like this,” he said.
“For me and everyone working here. First of all, congratulations. Second, I lied to you, it wasn’t a final. We still have to play it and third: ‘Day of tomorrow!'”
Real Madrid players exploded in joy after hearing Ancelotti’s announcement and continued celebration inside the dressing room at Camp Nou.
Before the match, Ancelotti had spoken to DAZN Italia, revealing, among other things, the three things needed to win the Champions League, a competition he’s won four times during his coaching career.
