A new mural of the eternal Diego Maradona has been unveiled in the Santa Maria la Carita area of Naples as of Sunday.
Footage has emerged online of the scenes surrounding the ceremony, which provided a party atmosphere that Maradona himself would have been proud of.
Large crowds gathered in front of the new, towering piece of art, as flags flew, pyrotechnics glowed and fireworks were launched into the sky above.
This is, of course, not the first and likely not the last tribute to the great Maradona in and around Naples. The first mural of Maradona in the city was painted in 1990, to commemorate the team winning the Serie A title in 1990.
