Jesper Lindstrom was greeted by Napoli supporters as he arrived in Italy to complete his transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The versatile forward landed at the Fiumicino Airport in Rome with a flight from Frankfurt and was met by scouting chief Maurizio Micheli as well as several Napoli fan groups.

He had been due to land several hours earlier, but delays were caused by the air traffic control system problems in the UK.

The transfer is going to be a loan at €5m with obligation to buy for another €20m including bonuses.

Lindstrom will then sign a contract to June 2028 worth €2.3m per season.

Aged 23, he has nine senior caps for Denmark and one goal.
