Lautaro Martinez sent a message to Inter fans at San Siro after he scored against Lecce on a Denzel Dumfries assist.

The Nerazzurri were 1-0 up when Dumfries rolled across from the right for the Argentina international to sweep in first time.

After the goal, Lautaro Martinez made a big show of pointing to Dumfries and calling for the fans to applaud him.

This was because the wing-back had been receiving criticism and some jeers from the crowd after a few mistakes and misplaced passes.

Wearing the captain’s armband this evening in the absence of Marcelo Brozovic and Samir Handanovic, it was the gesture of a leader.
