Lautaro Martinez broke his Serie A drought last week and has now scored a stunner against Liverpool, his first Champions League goal since November 2020.
The 24-year-old had not found the net in 10 consecutive matches in all competition before bagging a Serie A hat-trick in Friday’s 5-0 victory over Salernitana.
He also ended his Champions League drought with the first Champions League goal since a 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid on November 3, 2020.
Lautaro had failed to find the net in 10 consecutive matches in this tournament.
