Milan have released a video summing up the extraordinary, historic 30 years of Silvio Berlusconi’s reign, taking the club from near bankruptcy to the most successful club in the world.
The patron has died at the age of 86 and there will be a state funeral at the Duomo Cathedral on Wednesday.
He hired unknown coach Arrigo Sacchi, won the Scudetto, European Cup and Intercontinental Cup, eventually amassing 29 different trophies in 30 years with the Rossoneri.
Along with his ever-present right-hand man Adriano Galliani, Berlusconi then purchased Monza and took the club to its first ever Serie A campaign.
