Federico Dimarco warns Inter feel no pressure in Istanbul, but it is an ‘obsession’ for Manchester City. ‘This team was built to win the Champions League. That is the truth.’

The Champions League Final kicks off at the Ataturk Stadium on Saturday at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

While Pep Guardiola’s men are the over-riding favourites, they have also never won the tournament, compared to an Inter side that lifted the trophy three times, most recently with a Treble in 2010.

“I think if someone dreams and goes onto the pitch with the right spirit, he has no pressure,” Dimarco told TNT Sports Brasil.

“The pressure is on those who are obsessed with winning it. Manchester City was built to win the Champions League. That is the truth.”

It comes after Guardiola tried to assure today that not winning the Champions League would “not mean failure.”

Inter have already eliminated Barcelona, Benfica and FC Porto before the semi-final victory over local rivals Milan.

They also won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana twice in a row, confirming Simone Inzaghi’s status as a tournament coach.

“Over the last two years with the coach, we tended to have great results in knockout ties when we stepped up and played like Inter. In Serie A too, we only tended to drop points when we tended to under-estimate our opponents.”
