Gianluigi Buffon will celebrate his 45th birthday in just over two weeks, but proved he’s still got it with an extraordinary reaction save for Parma against Inter.
The veteran goalkeeper will turn 45 on January 28 and was making his 50th competitive appearance at San Siro between club and country, a good 25 years since his Coppa Italia debut.
Still he denied Inter victory in stoppages, getting down so quickly to deny Edin Dzeko after Lautaro Martinez had equalised with the aid of a deflection.
That save allowed Parma to force Inter into extra time in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 tie.
