Barcelona held talks with Antonio Rudiger’s agent meaning that the defender’s move to Juventus is not a done deal yet.
Earlier this month, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the Old Lady had reached an agreement to sign the Germany international as a free agent from Chelsea. However, the deal appears not to be closed yet as his representative continues to talk to other European clubs.
Sky Sport Deutschland has published an exclusive video of the defender’s agent Sahr Senesie meeting Barcelona directors yesterday. Rudiger’s contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season, so he is already eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with any other club. Sky Sport Italia and Romeo Agresti had already reported that Rudiger’s Juventus move wasn’t a done deal just yet.
Due to sanctions imposed on Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, Rudiger is not allowed to sign a new deal with the Premier League champions at the moment. Barcelona have already signed Andreas Christensen from Chelsea as a free agent. The Denmark international was on Inter‘s radars.
