The Bianconeri lead the table by six points after 21 rounds and yesterday evening enjoyed a resounding run of awards at the Gran Gala del Calcio, including Vidal picking up one of the best midfielder slots.

“Yes, it is true that last year I was Juve’s top scorer, yes,” considered Vidal on his efforts for Juve during 2012-13 to have earned that place.

“I am happy to have scored 10 goals, it was important for the team, I am grateful to my teammates, because they helped me so much to score so many goals.

“How important is the competitiveness on the field? It is everything. It is why we have won two Serie A titles and now why we are a little closer to a third one.

“Are we favourites? No, no, we have to work.

“Will I stay in Turin? Yes, certainly.”
