Juventus have confirmed earlier reports that Arturo Vidal’s knee operation has gone well.

It was revealed earlier on Wednesday afternoon that the Bianconeri midfielder had successfully undergone keyhole surgery on his right knee.

And the club have released a statement confirming that news, revealing that the 26-year-old will return to Turin on Thursday.

“Arturo Vidal this morning underwent a partial lateral meniscectomy operation on his right knee in Barcelona,” it read on their official website.

“The surgery was carried out by Dr. Ramon Cugat, in the presence of medical staff from Juventus and the Chilean national team.

“The midfielder will be discharged tomorrow and return to Turin for the continuation of his rehabilitation programme.”

Vidal is expected to be out for the next 30 days, missing the rest of the Serie A season, but back for the World Cup.
