Marco Verratti’s agent says the PSG star will ‘definitely be at the Euros’ but his injury means he’ll miss Italy’s March friendlies.

The former Pescara midfielder was absent last night as the French champions knocked Chelsea out of the Champions League to reach the quarter-finals.

Agent Donato Di Campli reassured any worries that the playmaker might have sustained a serious knock, but revealed he won’t make the pre-tournament tests against Spain and Germany at the end of the month.

Agent Donato Di Campli reassured any worries that the playmaker might have sustained a serious knock, but revealed he won’t make the pre-tournament tests against Spain and Germany at the end of the month.

“He’s suffered a very normal injury, an inflammation due to his physical build,” Di Campli told Mediaset Premium.

“It was decided in agreement with the French doctors not to risk him on the pitch.

“He'll definitely be at the Euros even though obviously he can't respond to Conte's next call-up.

“But he'll be available for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.”
