Hellas Verona have been the busiest Serie A side in the January transfer window, with more than 10 players leaving the club over the course of the last month as well as eight new additions with the arrival of Karol Swiderski on Thursday evening.

The 27-year-old striker Swiderski joins on a permanent transfer from MLS side Charlotte FC, where he registered 22 league goals from 62 appearances spread across two seasons.

Verona also confirmed the signing of 33-year-old centre-back Stefan Mitrovic on Thursday, a permanent signing from LaLiga outfit Getafe.

Swiderski and Mitrovic are Verona’s seventh and eighth arrivals following the permanent signings of Tijjani Neslin, Dani Silva, Elayis Tavsan and Reda Belhayane.

Recent reports suggest that Verona have now also deposited contracts with the Lega Serie A for the signing of right-back Fabien Centonze from Nantes.

They had also attempted to bring Vitoria Guimaraes forward Andre Silva in, but reports from Gianluca Di Marzio claim that the necessary documents were not completed in time before the Serie A deadline.

They have also made Tomas Suslov’s loan permanent this month and brought in former Wolves left-back Ruben Viniagre on loan.

Even more eye-catching is the list of Verona’s outgoing players this window. Verona are into double figures for departures after Thursday’s sale of Jordi Mboula to Racing Santander.

The most high-profile of Verona’s sales this month was that of Cyril Ngonge to Napoli for a fee of €18m plus add-ons.

Isak Hien has also left to join Atalanta on a permanent deal for around €8.5m, while left-back Josh Doig also left to join Sassuolo in a deal believed to be worth €6m.

Filippo Terracciano has also departed in favour of a move to San Siro to join Stefano Pioli’s Milan squad four around €4.5m, while regular centre-forward Milan Djuric has gone to Monza for €2m.

Davide Faraoni has also joined Fiorentina on an initial loan deal.

In terms of international transfers, Riccardo Saponara has joined Turkish side Ankaragucu and Martin Hongla has moved to LaLiga to join Granada.

Verona have also sanctioned a number of loan moves for their younger players, including Yayah Kallon and Jayden Braaf.

Finally, Koray Gunter has left to join Fatih Kanagumruk on loan.
