Tuttosport report that Thomas Vermaelen has agreed to join Roma, though Barcelona have not accepted any offer yet.

The Italian daily claim that the Belgian defender has already said that he will link up with Luciano Spalletti’s team in the Italian capital, should the Giallorossi be able to persuade the Spanish champions to do business with them over other suitors.

The 30-year-old has struggled for game time in Catalonia since joining from Arsenal and has been linked with a host of clubs around Europe over the course of the summer.
