It was initially thought that the agreement was for a €2m loan with a €10m option to buy, but the Lupi’s own statement reveals that the deal “includes no initial fee”.
The Belgian international spoke to Roma’s official website about the move and is happy to have completed the move to Serie A.
“I feel very happy to be aRoma player, and I’m looking forward to the new challenge,” Vermaelen said.
