Coach Giampiero Ventura has reportedly agreed a contract extension with Torino until June 2016.

The 66-year-old tactician has been at the helm of the Granata since June 2011 and his current deal was set to expire at the end of the season.

Toro are having their best campaign in decades, as they are currently in joint sixth place with Inter and in the running for a Europa League spot.

According to Tuttosport, this evening the club worked out the final details of a contract renewal and will hold on to Ventura for another two years.

Over his career Ventura also worked at the likes of Lecce, Cagliari” data-scaytid=”8″>Cagliari, Sampdoria” data-scaytid=”9″>Sampdoria, Udinese” data-scaytid=”10″>Udinese, Napoli, Messina, Hellas Verona and Bari.
