Venezia patron Duncan Niederauer confirms he hasn’t ‘finalised the deal yet’ for Manchester City-owned American Erik Palmer-Brown.

The 24-year-old centre-back has two senior caps for the USMNT after representing them at various youth levels.

He has spent the last two seasons on loan at Austria Vienna and returned to Manchester City’s Under-23 team this summer.

“We love him,” Venezia owner Niederauer told The Athletic.

“I think he’s a really good player, but there’s a lot of moving parts right now so we have not finalised a deal for him yet.”

Palmer-Brown would become the third American player to join Venezia this season in Serie A, after Tanner Tessmann and Gianluca Busio.
