Venezia have officially confirmed that one player tested positive for coronavirus after the sixth round of swabs.

Yesterday, the club announced that a positive test was detected on June 12, in the fifth round of swabs and confirmed the news with another round of tests.

Serie B will have to decide ahead of the resumption as the Arancioneroverdi might have to postpone their two games against Pordenone and Ascoli over the next two weeks.

The club released a statement to confirm the positive test, stressing that the rest are all clear: “Venezia FC inform that the sixth round of swabs that players, technical staff and team members underwent yesterday confirmed one player’s positivity for COVID-19.

“At the same time, we inform that all the other tests carried out have given negative results.”
