Marco van Ginkel has arrived in Milan ahead of completing a loan move from Chelsea to the Rossoneri on deadline day.

The Dutch midfielder initially rejected a temporary switch out to San Siro for this season, only for Jose Mourinho’s reported position to have the youngster think again.

Milan Channel yesterday evening confirmed an agreement for a loan, with no option to buy, has now been agreed.

On from this, the 21-year-old arrived in the city late on Sunday night and will now undergo a medical before completing the move.

“Ciao, Ciao, I’m happy to be here,” Van Ginkel has told reporters briefly at the airport.

Milan are reported to be paying Chelsea €400,000 for the loan, but face the incentive of a discount if Van Ginkel manages 20 appearances.
