The Spaniard was banned for placing a hand on the match official whilst protesting a late red card picked up against Parma.

Having just returned from that suspension, the 29-year-old knows how to not repeat the mistake.

“It was tough to stay out for three games, I learned that I should not speak to referees and from now I will not do it again,” Valero has told Tiki-Taka this week.

“How do they compare to referees in other countries? In England they are the best because they talk more, then, there are mistakes.”

Valero was back in League action last Sunday for Fiorentina’s” data-scaytid=”3″>Fiorentina’s 1-0 win at Napoli.,

“[On Sunday] we gave a demonstration of our character after the defeat to Juventus” data-scaytid=”4″>Juventus on the Thursday. We won at a very difficult stadium despite not playing a great game.

“Our playing style? We are a team in Italy with the most tiki-taka, we have a Coach who prefers to play with this philosophy and it is an advantage for us Spanish.

“Montella always wants to play with the ball between your feet, to create scoring chances – we sometimes do this well, other times we struggle.

“We have had so much bad luck with injuries, playing without Giuesppe [Rossi] and Mario [Gomez] has not been easy because they are both pillars.

“Luckily there is a great team spirit and everyone who plays is ready. Where would we be with Rossi and Gomez? Perhaps higher, but you never know.

“Third place? There is a chance, we will fight until the end and see what happens. I do not know if we are better than Napoli, but we are in a good moment.”
