Inter target Xherdan Shaqiri and his agent have commented that the Bayern Munich man is not looking for an exit from the club this summer.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a possible switch to the Nerazzurri this summer, whilst Manchester United and Liverpool have both also been paired with interest.

However, whilst his agent has listed those three clubs as interested parties last week and indicated that offers would be listened to, both he and the player have now looked to clarify the situation.

“I never said I want to leave,” the winger is quoted this week by SID news agency.

“I'm very happy in Munich and I'm not thinking about leaving.

“My brother's opinion was written a bit differently to what he actually said. But, of course, if a top club comes in, then you've got to consider it – but every player is like that.”

Representative Erdin Shaqiri is also quoted by Italian media today: “My brother has said that he is happy in Munich and is not thinking about leaving.

“Of course it is also true that if an offer came in from a big club, as it happens in these case, then we would take into account any proposal.”
