Valencia director Suso Garcia Pitarch confirmed Simone Zaza “is one of our objectives,” as West Ham send him back to Juventus.

The striker was loaned to West Ham United for €5m with an option to buy for another €20m that would become obligatory after 14 appearances.

However, the Hammers seem prepared to leave Zaza in the stands until January so they won’t have to activate the clause and can send him back to Juve in January.

He won’t stay in Turin for long, as there are several clubs interested, including Cesare Prandelli’s Valencia.

“It’s true that he was on the agenda in the summer already,” Pitarch told Marca.com.

“We like Simone, the Coach likes him and he is one of our objectives. As for the chances of signing him, it will depend on the conditions.”
