There could be several changes to the Ukraine side that lost 2-1 at San Siro, especially as goalscorer Andriy Yarmolenko is out of action, with a different ‘keeper against Italy too.

It kicks off in Leverkusen on Monday at 19.45 GMT.

The Azzurri only need a point to qualify for EURO 2024, as it would give them a superior head-to-head record thanks to the win back in September.

The Ukrainian goal that day was scored by Yarmolenko, but he is out following knee surgery and is not expected back on the field until February 2024.

Instead, we are likely to see Chelsea midfielder Mykhaylo Mudryk step in with Georgiy Sudakov and Viktor Tsygankov in support of Girona hitman Artem Dovbyk.

While Georgiy Bushchan started in goal at San Siro, the role should now go to Benfica shot-stopper Anatoliy Trubin.

Yukhym Konolplya is not fully fit and so Oleksandr Tymchyk could come in as the right-back.

Arsenal midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko remains a key figure in the midfield alongside captain Taras Stepanenko.

Ukraine (4-2-3-1): Trubin; Tymchyk, Zabarnyi, Matvienko, Mykolenko; Stepanenko, Zinchenko; Tsygankov, Sudakov, Mudryk; Dovbyk
