Destiny Udogie has reportedly agreed a contract in principle with Tottenham ahead of a transfer from Udinese next week.

The 19-year-old Italian left rose to prominence last season after an incredibly impressive debut campaign with Udinese, where he scored five goals and provided three assists in 35 Serie A appearances. Udogie’s strong work quickly saw him attract the attention of Spurs, who are now working on finalising a deal with Udinese.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Udogie has fully agreed to the terms of a contract with Tottenham, which is set to be a five-year deal. His transfer to North London is expected to be completed at some point next week, when he’ll undergo his medicals before putting pen to paper.

Current indications suggest that Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte consider Udogie to be a player for the future, so he’s likely to be loaned back to Udinese for the upcoming 2022-23 season, allowing him to continue his development with consistent minutes in Serie A.

Tottenham will reportedly pay around €20m plus €6m in add-ons for the 19-year-old Italian left back.

  1. In one summer, Udinese have lost their left back and right back. How can a club have any sort of continuity when most of them are literally restarting every summer. The issue is that the money offered is so ridiculous that clubs and players have no choice but to say yes.

  2. There is zero chance that Allegri will play this toddle, so it makes sense that Juve don’t get him.
