Gino Pozzo, the son of Udinese owner Giampaolo, admits everyone at the club has played a role in their plight.

Udinese fell to their 10th successive defeat on Wednesday against Napoli, leaving the Zebrette just five points above the relegation zone in Serie A with just as many games remaining – and Pozzo to insist enough is enough.

“Maybe I’ve arrived too late, but the objective now is to bring the team to safety,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“There’s no single culprit, but neither is there anyone innocent. After Di Natale? We talked to Quagliarella three years ago, but it was impossible to sign him.

“Now we have [Kevin] Lasagna, who’s been a great signing. After that, we have lots of interesting youngsters, the latest one being Vizeu.

“After Guidolin? We couldn’t find a Coach that knew how to work with the material made available to them.

“Oddo? He knows everything. Now we’re here and there’s only Sunday. There’s no match after this.

“The run of 10 straight defeats [will] end. I told him that to his face in the dressing room. We’re on a boat together and no-one’s getting off it.”
