Udinese were beaten 3-1 at home by Gianluca Scamacca’s West Ham United in a friendly match, despite initially going in front.

The Serie A side had taken an early lead through Roberto Pereyra, as Sandi Lovric’s cross went past Beto to find his teammate at the back post.

Tomas Soucek nodded a corner over, with Said Benrahma firing just wide, but Benrahma did equalise in first half stoppages when Marco Silvestri fumbled a Jarrod Bowen cross.

Isaac Success tested the opposition goalkeeper before Manuel Lanzini’s long-range scorcher flew into the top corner.

Tolgay Arslan thought he’d made it 2-2 only to be denied by a West Ham goal-line clearance.

It proved costly, as Bowen thumped the upright and then set up Michail Antonio for a simple tap-in as the move continued.
