Udinese confirm they are ‘taking time to carefully evaluate’ Maxi Romero’s condition after problems emerged in the PSV Eindhoven striker’s medical.

The 22-year-old Argentine had been all set to complete the transfer and even had his medical tests.

However, Sportitalia reported that there were some red flags during those examinations.

It was confirmed by Udinese TV, the official club channel, who noted the Friulani are “slowing down the negotiations and taking time to carefully evaluate the physical condition of the PSV striker, who is coming off a long injury.”

Romero had knee surgery in September 2020 and has not played since.
