Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero warns Denmark international Mikkel Damsgaard is worth €30-50m, but ‘he is not for sale’ this summer.

The midfielder turns 21 later this week and made a big impact at Euro 2020, taking his tally up to three goals in just six senior caps.

“I don’t know how much he’s worth right now because he is not for sale,” Ferrero told GR Parlamento.

“I am keeping a tight hold of him and we’ll help him to develop, because I want to make a healthy profit at the end of it.

“As far as I am concerned, he is worth somewhere between €30m and €50m. He has talent and he will go far.”

Samp paid €6.75m to sign Damsgaard from Nordsjaelland in September 2020 and he scored two goals with four assists in 35 Serie A appearances during his debut campaign.

Milan and Barcelona are among the clubs linked with a bid for Damsgaard, but it seems as if the Blucerchiati will not be parting with the Danish talent yet.
