Udinese are reported as having reached agreement for Luigi Del Neri to be their next Coach, and an announcement could arrive shortly.

The former Sampdoria and Juventus Coach, who has been out of work since a brief spell with Genoa during 2012-13, was one of the first to be linked with replacing Francesco Guidolin.

Guidolin confirmed earlier this month his retirement from coaching, in favour of taking up a different role with the Zebrette, to also involve Granada and Watford.

Whilst the likes of Edy Reja, Andrea Stramaccioni, Rolando Maran, Stefano Pioli and Davis Mangia were also paired with possible talks with Udinese, reports are that Del Neri has reached agreement and his confirmation as the club’s next Coach may come within the next couple of days.

It is understood that Del Neri will today meet with club officials to ratify the final aspects to his contract.

Lazio were reportedly reluctant to release Reja, who was seen recently as the other major candidate for the position.
