Udinese have admitted that Inter are keen on Samir Handanovic, but they don’t intend to sell the goalkeeper.

Reports on Thursday suggested that the Nerazzurri were ready to bid around €15m for the custodian as a possible replacement for Julio Cesar.

“There has been an enquiry from Inter for Handanovic,” Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini told TMW.

“However, at the moment, everything is at a standstill. It is normal to talk about players during the transfer session, but we don’t have any plans to sell Samir.”

The 27-year-old is a highly rated net-minder, but Inter also have Italian international Emiliano Viviano on their books.

“A transfer to Inter for Handanovic depends a lot on whether the Nerazzurri take back Viviano or not,” stated agent Federico Pastorello last night.

The former Bologna man, who joined Palermo in January, is co-owned between the San Siro giants and the Rosanero.
