The match took place at the Stadio Riviera delle Palme in Benedetto del Tronto and Coach Gigi Di Biagio took the opportunity for some experiments.

There were few scoring opportunities from either side, as Albania’s defensive solidity held out.

Danilo Cataldi, Luca Garritano and Domenico Berardi went closest in the first half, while Milan’s teenage goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was relatively undisturbed.
