Italy Under-21 boss Ciro Ferrara is well aware that his side will face a tough test in Tuesday's friendly with Germany.
"It won't be easy," the former Juventus tactician noted. "At this stage of our progression it will be important for us that we get signs that confirm we are on the right path.
"We'll be playing away from home for the first time, while games between Italy and Germany are always keenly felt."

Ferrara has won all three of his matches in charge of the Under-21 side, the latest on Thursday when they defeated Sweden 3-1 in another friendly.
"We have to carry on from where we left off in Reggio Emilia last week, especially in terms of the football we played which really was good at times," he stated.
"Spending a few more days together, in respect to the previous games we played, has allowed us to train more on specific areas even if there is still never enough time…
"We've worked constantly and in a serious manner.
"However, there is still the need for better understanding even if these games will allow us to get to September's qualifiers with a certain amount of experience."
Ferrara replaced Gigi Casiraghi on the Azzurrini bench late last year after the latter failed to get Italy to the U-21 2011 European Championships.
