Napoli could win five Serie A games in a row without conceding for the first time in history, while Victor Osimhen could equal David Trezeguet, scoring from open play in nine consecutive league matches against Lazio tonight.

The Partenopei host Lazio, coached by their former coach Maurizio Sarri, at the Stadio Maradona on Friday night (probable line-ups).

Luciano Spalletti’s men are the Serie A leaders, with an 18-point lead over second-placed Inter. They have won the last four Serie A matches without conceding and could keep five consecutive clean sheets for the first time since February 2019 under Carlo Ancelotti.

However, as highlighted by Eurosport, the Partenopei have never won five Serie A games in a row without conceding in history.

Their best striker and Serie A’s leading scorer, Osimhen, will also be targeting a personal record against the Biancocelesti tonight.

The Nigeria international found the net in each of his last eight Serie A appearances and could become the second player in history after David Trezeguet to score from open play in nine consecutive league matches.
