Juventus veteran David Trezeguet says Alvaro Morata's fate 'depends on Real Madrid', whilst he 'hopes Paul Pogba stays at Juventus'.

The Frenchman can empathise with both of the Bianconeri, having been a striker like Morata and a Frenchman in Serie A like Pogba.

“Morata can count on a very important transfer operation,” Trezeguet told Tuttosport. “His situation doesn't depend only on Juventus.

“He developed greatly in Turin and if he wants to keep growing he must stay with the Bianconeri. Unfortunately the decision will come down to Real Madrid.

“Alvaro seems to be in a very good condition, but I think Spain are in a period of transition, of change. They had a mix of young and expert players.

“Morata is one of those young players who want to become great footballers.”

Trezeguet also had the opportunity to discuss the other big negotiation that is taking place between the Old Lady and the Merengues, that regarding the possible sale of Pogba.

“I hope he stays at Juventus. The club believes in him. Italian football needs him, and it's important to keep players of his level so that the league stays interesting for the other champions too.

“I think €120m are an incredible amount. Juventus will have to choose whether they want to bet on Pogba or on [Paulo] Dybala.

“The club is growing and so are its needs. They made history with the Scudetti and the Coppa Italia, now it's time for the Champions League.”
