Hamed Junior Traore has just three months to convince Napoli to sign him on a definitive transfer from Bournemouth following his loan move in January.

The 24-year-old Ivorian forward joined the Cherries from Sassuolo back in January 2023 on a six-month loan deal with a circa €30m total buy option attached, giving him a chance in the Premier League after his impressive emergence at Sassuolo.

Traore failed to find his footing with Bournemouth, making just 13 appearances across all competitions over the 12 months as he dealt with various injuries and a bout of malaria. In January, he joined Napoli on a six-month loan deal with a €25m buy option attached.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Traore wants to prove himself as a long-term replacement for Piotr Zielinski in the Napoli squad, keen to justify his €25m buy option ahead of the summer transfer window.

He has already shown some positives across his four appearances and now has three months to earn a move away from Bournemouth.
