Bakaye Traore is confident he can be of service to Milan despite his virtually anonymous 2012-13 campaign.

The midfielder was expected to be shown the door by the Rossoneri this summer, but his agent insists the 28-year-old wants to stay.

“At the moment, he has no intention of leaving,” Olivier Yenge told Milan News. “I think that, with him in top form, he can get boss Massimiliano Allegri to have a re-think.

“We are hopeful about that. The truth is that he was hampered in the last campaign by a serious injury which he was carrying for three or four months.

“The boy loves Milan and Italy. And, up to this point, Milan haven’t told us of any offers they have received for him.”

The Mali international was signed on a free transfer last summer from Nancy. He appeared in just nine games all season.
