Turkish and Italian sources are confident Caleb Ekuban will complete his transfer from Trabzonspor to Genoa this weekend.

The deal is believed to be worth €2m plus performance-related bonuses, as cited by Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia.

He plays as a support striker or a centre-forward and found the net 11 times in 33 games for Trabzonspor last season, along with contributing four assists to his teammates.

The 27-year-old has three goals in nine senior caps for Ghana, but was born and raised in Italy.

Ekuban came up through the Chievo Verona youth academy, going on to represent lower level clubs like Sudtirol, Lumezzane and Renate.

After a spell at Leeds United in 2017-18, he moved to Trabzonspor for €1.2m in 2019.
