Pierluigi Gollini has officially completed his transfer from Atalanta to Tottenham Hotspur, on loan with obligation to buy at the 20th appearance for €15m.
The shot-stopper flew out earlier this week following medical tests in Italy and has now been formally announced.
It is a loan with option to buy for €15m, but the option will become an obligation once he makes his 20th competitive appearance for Spurs.
This represents a return to England for the 26-year-old, who spent time in the Manchester United youth academy and then played for Aston Villa in the 2016-17 Championship campaign.
Atalanta rotated Gollini with fellow goalkeeper Marco Sportiello throughout last season, then brought in Juan Musso from Udinese this summer, definitively demoting him to second choice.
Gollini has a side-line career as a rap artist, releasing a record under the name Gollorius. Here are some more things you might not know about the new Spurs signing.
This might be only the first of a few deals between Atalanta and Tottenham, as they are also in negotiations to sign Argentina international defender Cristian Romero.
The asking price is €55-60m for the centre-back.
