Roma legend Francesco Totti believes “the greatest strength at Roma is the group” and their desire to prove themselves against Liverpool.

“Reaching the top four of the Champions League is never easy, especially as after 1984 the most we got to was the quarter-finals,” Totti told Roma TV.

“I think this is an important moment both for the club and the city, so we will try to honour it as best we can.

“I believe the greatest strength at Roma is the group, the whole technical staff, the Coach who drilled this mentality into them and their way of facing up to their opponents.

“Talking about the players, I see no particular individual, because when you get to this stage of the season, the credit goes to everyone, of a united group that wants to prove itself not only in Italy, but also in Europe.”
