The captain celebrated his 40th birthday on Tuesday, but provided three assists and played 90 minutes in tonight’s match.
“We are happy with the performance, as it was important tonight to show everyone what a good team we are. It was a strong response,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“In the first half I was joking on the touchline that I didn’t even feel this good at 25. It’s true, I feel in good shape and my legs don’t hurt even after 90 minutes.
