Francesco Totti admits Roma’s Champions League draw “went well” but warns Shakhtar Donetsk shouldn’t be underestimated.

The Giallorossi will face the Ukrainian side in the Last 16, and the club legend was present at today’s draw in Nyon.

“Given what was there, it went well,” Totti told SportMediaset.

“Don’t underestimate them though, because they’re technically and physically strong and play well at home. It’ll be an open game, but the further you go the harder it is.

“A lot of things can happen between now and February, we’ll think about the league and then in February we’ll think about trying to go through, which would be important for us.

“The league is the main objective for us. With respect for the Champions League, we know that the further we go the more we’ll face strong teams, stronger than Roma.

“Football is about big surprises though, and we’ll cause problems for any side we meet.”
