Roma and Lazio legends Francesco Totti and Alessandro Nesta discuss the Rome derby. ‘I have many pictures, I even took one with my mobile,’ said the ex-Roma star.

Totti and Nesta spoke about the derby della Capitale in the book ‘Il grande libro del derby di Roma’ which was published in December.

“I have many pictures from derbies, I even took one with my mobile after a goal,” said Totti referring to his ‘selfie celebration’ in 2015.

“I’ve understood that derbies are like a Russian Roulette with no rules. It’s all based on nerves and incidents.”

“I have good and bad memories of derbies,” added Nesta.

“I played so many with Lazio. The battles on the pitch mirror life, you can win or lose.”

Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio won the derby in the Girone d’andata and are now leading their city rivals in the Serie A table by just one point.
