Fiorentina midfielder Lucas Torreira has shared a few pictures from last night’s match against Juventus suggesting that he has chosen to remain in Florence permanently.

The Uruguay international moved to the Artemio Franchi on loan with an option to buy from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

The Tuscans can make the midfielder’s move permanent for €15m at the end of the season and Torreira seems eager to remain in Tuscany long term. The former Atletico Madrid loanee shared an Instagram story in the morning, picking two pictures from last night’s Coppa Italia game against Juve.

One is the team photo with all the Fiorentina players and staff members, the second one is the choreography of the Curva Fiesole representing Dante with a quote of his Inferno.

“I chose to be part of a great family. This is Florence,” the 26-year-old wrote.

Fiorentina and Arsenal will hold talks in the next few weeks. The player’s agent Pablo Bentancur has suggested that the Gunners won’t allow Torreira to leave permanently for a less than €15m as they are still upset that Dusan Vlahovic didn’t move to the Emirates Stadium in January.
