Toronto FC are prepared to make another Serie A signing, with Domenico Criscito now on the verge of completing a move to the MLS side.

The Canadian club shocked the world of Italian football when they secured Lorenzo Insigne’s signature earlier this season and they’re clearly fans of Serie A, following a few other targets including the veteran Genoa defender.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Criscito is close to leaving Genoa next month in order to immediately join Toronto FC, where he’ll sign a two-year contract. An agreement has already been reached between the two parties and he’s set to officially put pen to paper within a couple of weeks.

The 35-year-old Criscito, who is currently contracted to Genoa until 2023, has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1389 minutes. In that time, he’s scored six goals, provided one assist and helped the side keep two clean sheets.
